By suspending Lineker, Tim Davie has basically bowed to government pressure; effectively banishing the impartiality that the BBC is renewed for. Davie has, essentially, in one fell swoop, subscribed the Corporation to being the voice box of the government. It is now nothing more than a propaganda arm, parroting the party-line. I know. That’s a lot of books! But I absolutely promise that they’re worth reading. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. You’ll probably end up very angry at Christopher Mitchell by the end of the series. I know I kind of was.
But, honestly, if you haven’t already – read this magnificent series. You won’t regret it.
