So, folks, it’s that time of the month again, when I get to recommend my favourite books that have been released in May – a mix of books I’ve read as ARCs, published already, or the ones I’ve read on Reedsy.
Are you ready? Yes? Good. Let’s go.
- A Little Accident – Olena Nikitin
REEDSY
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
Where do I start? Apart that I absolutely devoured this short story. I immediately signed up to Nikitin’s mailing list, and am excited to see what else they have to offer.
2. Sagittarius Charmed – Tamar Sloan and Tricia Barr
ARC
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
The seventh instalment in the Zodiac Guardians series, with the group of alien super-heroes coming into contact with the Sagittarius heir. But will they manage to convince her of her powers before Chardis begins it’s next attack?
3. Tale of the Tarot: Book One of The Melanie Simpson Mysteries. DJ Schneider.
REEDSY
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
It’s the 1960’s, and there’s some alien technology that Melanie and her boyfriend are diligently guarding against some terrifying government agencies.
4. Dragon Eyre: Blackrose – Cristopher Mitchell
Kindle Unlimited
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
I can’t express my delight when this was finally released. Honestly, I came across Mitchell’s epic saga last summer, and they’ve kept me hooked since. Blackrose is the much anticipated final instalment in the Eternal Siege section of the Magelands Epic and it was well worth the wait.
5. An Ugly Design Career – Trevor Alexander
REEDSY
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
A bit of a departure from my usual reviews, but this is a must read if you’re considering a career in design. Full of helpful tips on how to approach clients and how to keep them once you’ve got the contract.
6. The Oasis Trials – Tamar Sloan and Tricia Barr
ARC
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
The long awaited prequel to the highly popular The Thaw Chronicles finally landed, and it couldn’t have been better. Discover the origins of Askala!
7. The Reign of the Occult – Lauren Louise Hazel
REEDSY
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
A dystopian world where magic Users are treated as though they’re evil incarnate. A breath-taking novel with creepy characters and reluctant heroes.
8. The Sunken City – Emma Noyes.
REEDSY
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
Now, this was a unique book if ever I’ve read one. There’s historical fiction, pirates and then a world beneath the waves. It’s an unusual combination, but Noyes made it work.
9. Mattara: The Ventura Series – Courtney Watts
REEDSY
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
Only a pair of twins can save multiple worlds from the looming devastation bought on by one of their distant ancestors.
10. Restoration – Sam Bradbury
REEDSY
🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑
A dying, rotten world. A PhD student on a mission. And an arcane theory that could save them all.
