All Lahnos wants is to return home to Zamata, Leona and Lord Sigum Mon Sigel.  To do so would mean potentially killing the entire fleet of Bullan, something he baulks at, preferring to try to talk them into doing what he wants.  Meanwhile, on Zamata, Leona is facing her own struggles.  The new council of five that rule the island is divided, with one of their number spewing lies and spreading discord amongst the islanders &#8211; especially where Leona is concerned.  While her whole life is dedicated to the island of Zamata, the inhabitants hate her.  And then, there&#8217;s Lyla, still trying to figure out who she really is &#8211; what her real name is and how to return to her home world so she can see her children again.  She&#8217;s stumbled on Tell Hoard and the Tempest Cogitarium where the grumpy Elbannon is struggling to build the very device she needs &#8211; a Quadrant.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As ever, Mitchell weaves his magic on the world of Athumia, leaving the reader gasping for more &#8211; and he absolutely delivers more in <em>Kin Strife.<\/em>  He pushes the boundaries, bringing the world of Athumia to its knees.  The tale and threads that interweave throughout his novels are breathtaking and leave you breathless, heartbroken and begging for more.  His whole <em>MagelandsVerse <\/em>is a masterpiece, and with more books promised, it&#8217;s only going to get better.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S.
